Joshua Tree – National Park

Joshua Tree – National Park

One of our favorite activities while in Hawaii was star gazing and we had another opportunity to star gaze when we decided to visit Joshua Tree National Park. We were just going to make a two day trip out of the visit and planned to camp in our rental car. We rented a hatchback and bought an inflatable bed that fit in the back of the flatbed hatchback. It actually looked pretty nice and cozy. The weather would be on…

Ghost Hunting on the Queen Mary – Room B340

Ghost Hunting on the Queen Mary – Room B340

Lucy and I have always wanted to ghost hunt and especially on the Queen Mary. On our previous trip to the Queen Mary, we heard and experienced some interesting things like smelling smells and hearing noises that weren’t there or had no source. The Queen Mary now operates as a hotel and one of the most haunted sites on the ship is room B340. It was so haunted, or the guests experienced so many things, that the room was closed…

Universal Studios Horror Night

Universal Studios Horror Night

Universal Horror Night This being a movie studio we had high hopes that the production value and presentation would be top notch. You are not allowed to dress up or wear any type of costume. You are also not allowed to bring any food or drink. We made sure to bring an empty container though to fill with water in the park as I was expecting to wait in long lines. Overall, a great event and worth the admission. If…

Los Angeles | Five Day Trip

DAY ONE / South Bay Harbor We flew into Long Beach airport to spend five weekdays in the city. Since we landed in Long Beach we decided to spend the day in the South Bay. We headed to the Long Beach aquarium, which is one of best aquariums we have ever been to. When you first walk in there is a large 20ft tank filled with colorful and large fishes. The aquarium is so large and has everything you would expect….

Santa Barbara | Weekend Trip

Santa Barbara | Weekend Trip

We flew in on a three-day weekend getaway to explore the Santa Barbara. We got in Thursday night and were staying in Solvang   A while ago I had read an article about places in the US that feel like other parts of the world. Solvang was a town that was meant to feel like Danish as many of the people that initially migrated there were of that origin. We got in at night and the town really is stunning…

San Diego | Weekend Trip

Friday Night We had some issues with our flight and had to land in Long Beach and drive to San Diego. It was near midnight and the only thing that we knew would come in on the radio all the way to San Diego was Coast to Coast AM. Over the next two hours we heard the craziest alien story. Basically there is a reptilian alien alliance that had taken control of the weather machines and was causing extreme weather like…
